GrabConvert vs other online PDF tools
PDF sites pioneered the small-daily-allowance funnel: a couple of free documents, then the subscription prompt. GrabConvert puts the full PDF bench — merge, split, convert both ways, compress, protect — inside a 130-tool toolbox, free, with files deleted the moment you download.
| GrabConvert | typical online PDF tools | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free — supported by one short ad before each job | Often “freemium”: the first job is free, then subscriptions and credits appear |
| Sign-up | None — no account exists | Often required before repeat or advanced jobs |
| Watermarks | Never — output is the clean file | Common on free tiers; removing them is a classic upsell |
| Upload limit | 200 MB per file | Free tiers typically cap uploads well below 200 MB |
| Daily caps | No per-day job counter; fair-use rate limits apply | Free tiers commonly limit jobs per day |
| Your files | Processed in a temp folder, deleted the moment you download | Varies — retention is often unclear or account-based |
| Tools in one place | 130 tools on this one site | Usually one job per site — a relay of uploads for a chain of jobs |
Documents rarely travel alone
The PDF job usually arrives with cousins: a video to convert, an image to compress, a QR code for the document’s link. A toolbox finishes the errand in one visit; a PDF-only site finishes one slice of it.
Privacy is structural here
No accounts means no document archive: files are processed in a one-off temp folder and deleted at download. That is not a policy promise, it is how the machine is built.
The honest bit
Where the other side can genuinely win: the biggest converter sites support hundreds of exotic formats we do not, a few offer OCR for scanned documents (our PDF tools are honest that they need born-digital files), and desktop apps beat any website for huge offline batch jobs. For the everyday jobs — the ones this toolbox is built around — those are not the deciding factors.

FAQ
How many PDFs can I merge for free?
Up to 20 per job within 200 MB, with no daily document quota.
Can I convert a PDF back to Word?
Yes — genuine editable text, not page pictures. Scanned PDFs need OCR first, which we do not fake.
